Soccer Is A Good Way To Get Exercise

Posted on 1645 April 2008 by JaMi in Soccer

Soccer is a sport that requires a lot of energy to play. It also requires each player to develop a lot of patience because each team member has to wait for another person on the team to pass them the ball. Learning patience will pay off tremendously during a game because people have to have it when they are continuously chasing a ball that always seems to get away from them.

Some people might not realize all of the health benefits that come from playing soccer regularly. (…)

Cristiano Ronaldo - a Constant Threat on the Field

Posted on 2645 March 2008 by JaMi in Soccer

When Cristiano Ronaldo finally scored from a headed goal against their fiercest rivals Liverpool, he might have put to rest the millions of questions which hung over his ability to perform at the top level. Big matches do not come any bigger than Manchester United against Liverpool. There had been intense focus on the Portuguese’s temperament and ability to play well against teams like Liverpool and Chelsea, while he has never left that a doubt against teams of smaller stature. Posted on 2339 March 2008 by JaMi in Soccer

For those of you who have ever played football or soccer at any level you’ll understand how important good boots are to your performance. It used to be a ritual for my team mates and me to go shopping in the pre-season together to get our new boots. When I was younger there was choice alright but nothing compared to today, you’re choice consisted of moulded studs or screw in and then the different makes. Today the choice is endless, but what ones should you choose and why? (…)

Posted on 1753 March 2008 by JaMi in Soccer

These are tips that I developed from my playing days. These techniques worked well for me and I hope they can help others become the player they want to be.

When a friend told me that Scudamore planned to play a round of matches overseas, I thought it was the worst idea I’d ever heard - and I used to work in a nursery. I say ‘worked’, but it went down as ‘loitering’ on the charge sheet. (…)

Strawberry Fields for Heather

Wayne Drops Keep Falling on My Head

I am no stranger to a lazy stereotype. I’m half-Irish and I’m married to a Scot, so some people believe we stay at home all day smoking crack and peeling potatoes; which is only half true.

It could be worse though, I could be bald. Britney Spears was considered a wholesome entertainer when she had flowing locks; but the moment she showed solidarity with the follicly challenged, the authorities took her children away.
