Can Chelsea bounce back against Reds?

You would not have put money on Wigan beating Chelsea at the weekend but it happened and they now face Liverpool at Stamford Bridge at the weekend which promises to be an interesting encounter. I have given up expecting the big 4 being able to muster up a decent score between them so this will likely be a typically low scoring affair.

Apart from the mishap last weekend Chelsea had looked very solid at the back whilst being able to score at will of if any major urge required it. Liverpool on the other hand have been shaky to say the least.

Even against Hull at the weekend there were signs with every Hull attack that Liverpool were either unsure what to do, or felt the premiership pressure already. The outcome was 6-1 after Hull gave up the game at 3-1.

Chelsea will not be giving up no matter what the score is and the loss to Wigan may be the perfect medicine prior to facing the Reds although the best online bookmakers make Chelsea the rightly favourites at around 11/10 with Liverpool ranging from 12/5 to 2/1 in places.

The loss has now given Manchester United the initiative and they will be looking to push on hoping the Stanford Bridge game ends in a goaless draw. Manchester United seem to have the easier of games on paper over the next two weeks until they face Liverpool after a possibly exhausting trip to Russia in the Champions League.

Arsenal seem to have got back on track although it could well have been a different story against Fulham of London had the Arsenal 3rd choice goalkeeper Mannone not been in fantastic debut form. These are games however that Arsenal should be winning at ease if they want to mount a full attack on the Premiership title.
