Question: How can I get rid of stomach fat?
I was wondering what I need to do to get rid of my stomach fat and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas? I do have the time to go to the gym, so I’m looking for a daily routine that will help.

Answer: Performing sit-ups are not going to help despite people thinking that. Target training in order to lose stomach fat is impossible. You body burns fat best when it is burned from all over your body and eventually that means you will lose fat from your stomach. Losing fat works the same as storing it. It gets distributed all over the body. It only goes straight to your stomach if it is alcohol. The best recommendation is to eat as healthy as possible, including fruits, vegetables, lean meats and drinking plenty of water. Be sure to eat less than 10% of calories from fat.

Example:

If you intake 100 calories you need to make sure that it has less than 10 calories from fat. Stay away from saturated fat and trans fat. Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated fat are acceptable in moderation. You should try and eat 5-6 small meals everyday to help keep your metabolism high to lose weight.

As far as the exercise component goes you are going to want to do cardiovascular activities.

Running on the treadmill is a good choice and should be done in intervals. Jog at a relaxed pace for around 2 minutes and then walk at an incline for 1 minute. Then run as fast as you can on the same incline for 1 minute. Repeat this 7 times. You can look on the internet to try and find more quality interval trainings.

The stationary bike is another good option. Be sure that the seat is good and it can make a big difference, and remember that you can kick up the resistance to make it a more intense workout.

The elliptical is another great choice and it also puts no stress on your joints. If you do choose the elliptical, try and maintain a fast pace for 20-30 minutes.
