Being ripped and lean like the situation has always been a goal of mine. I admired guys with great bodies and always wanted to look like the Siutation, Brad Pitt, Taylor Lautner and Cam Gigandet.
You know the look?
Ripped 6 pack abs with cut muscles bulging out of the skin. The body that turns heads.
My probably was, that I worked a full time job and didn’t have enough money for a personal trainer or for expensive supplements.
But yet I still wanted abs like the situation.
I wasn’t going to settle and look average.
Summer was coming up and I knew I wouldn’t feel confident at the beach without a good body.
So I went for it.
I frantically searched the internet for the situation workout and tips and strategies for getting shredded fast.
I came across a lot of websites and information that would repeat the same old tired information.
Do compound exercises like deadlifts, squats and bench press.
That information is fine and all if you goal is to become bulky and heavy. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
Except for me, I wanted to be lean and cut. Sure I wanted to look muscular, but I didn’t want to look like a bodybuilder. I wanted to look more like a movie star or a fitness model. That was the look that everyone likes (especially the ladies!).
After talking to a lot of people and trying a lot of things from the internet for limited results, I came across a new program called “Visual Impact Muscle Building” by Rusty Moore.
One look at the website and I knew Rusty’s program was exactly for me. He spoke about how many people in the gym end up looking bulky (and even slightly fat) and that if you want to look your best its better to be ripped and cut.
Here are some great tips and tricks that I learnt from Rusty. These tips will help you to get abs like the situation and are diffinately part of the situation workout.
1. In order to have abs like the situation, the first thing you need to do is get down to a low body fat percentage. In order to get down to a low body fat percent you need to be pretty strict with your diet. Foods which really helped me to cut down was foods very high in protein. Such as tuna, lean beef, salmon, chicken and protein powder. The carbs that you should eat are wholemeal breads, oatmeal, brown rice and brown bread. Aim for 250 grams of protein per day and 75-150 grams of carbs. Cycling low and high carb days depending on your workout days.
2. As well as eating eight, the situation workout also requires weight training and cardio. Rusty says that the best way to create muscle mass and to lose fat is to vary up your reps and sets. For a couple of weeks perform high reps ans then switch to low reps. E.g. initially perform 3 sets of 12 reps then 5 sets of 5 reps after a few weeks of training.
Combined with weight training, I found that high intensity interval training was a great way to blast fat. High intensity interval training is simply when you go all out for a period of time, followed by 75% intensity, then back to full intensity and so on. E.g. 2 minutes hard, 2 minutes light etc.
A favorite cardio machine of mine is the rowing machine. The fat just melts away!
3. Here is my favorite tip from Rusty and one which nearly everyone gets wrong. If you have a big event coming up (perhaps summer) the key to looking great is to cut early. That way you give your skin time to shrink down and fit tight. Then when your skin is tight and you look nice and cut, you then add muscle (maybe 5-10) pounds quickly to give the look of your muscles bulging out of your skin.
This is how you get that jaw dropping ripped look that the situation has.
After training for just a few months on the “Visual Impact Muscle Building” program, my body and my confidence has changed completely.
Let me ask you something.
Have you ever been at the beach and seen a guys body that you really liked? Wishing that one day you could look like that?
No imagine that you actually have that body… Imagine all the confidence you will have and how great it would feel.
I can honestly say that I got the privilege of experiencing that magical feeling.
Girls come up to me and ask if they can have their pictures taken with me abs!
Its seriously awesome.
Overall in 3 months of “Visual Impact Muscle Building” training I dropped over 10 pounds of fat (12 to be precise), over 3 inches from my waist and for the first time in my life I am under 10% body fat. (I was around 15-16 previously).
My biceps, chest and shoulders have also improved and I have nice cuts and muscle in all the right places. I don’t look like a huge bodybuilder but I looked super ripped like the situation. And this is what gives me confidence.
The girls love it too!
