“Under the circumstances, the more he deals with the issues and the better he deals with them, the better off he’ll be when he does return,” he said.
Nike’s $650 million golf division has been one of its hardest-hit during the global recession, but Nike are not deviating from their initial stand-point that they would remain loyal to one of the world’s most famous sportsmen of all time.
AT&T and Accenture have dropped their sponsorships of Woods and others like Gillette and Swiss watch maker Tag Heuer have taken him out of their current advertising and marketing campaigns.
“We’ve been supportive of Tiger since the story broke and we’ll continue to be supportive,” Denson said.
“He’s got issues he needs to deal with and he’s dealing with them. We are looking forward to him getting back on the play course( Wonderful play courses ).”
“We’ve been in touch with his camp,” Denson said. “We’re very comfortable with where he’s at, how he’s dealing with it and we’re looking forward to his return.”
It is worthy for Woods of symbolizing Nike, friendship should be like that. Before I had no special sense to nike, now I like it.
